The Dududu Drop-In Centre

The Dududu Drop-In Centre is a multi-purpose community centre providing essential health-related services to members of the Dududu Community, and seeking to combat some of the pervasive socioeconomic challenges that face Dududu.

 

Mission

 

To provide home based care for HIV/AIDS, TB, chronic illnesses, and neglected victims.

 

To encourage disadvantaged community members, especially youth, women, and the disabled, to develop their talents and skills.

 

To develop income-generating projects to address the interrelated issues of poverty and HIV.

 

 

Our Projects

 

Food Security Program

The provision of monthly food parcels to chronically ill and food insecure community members, cultivation of a community garden.

 

Home-Based Care Services

Trained healthcare providers conduct home visits, monitor patients, identify orphans and vulnerable children, and provide community members with health-related information.

 

OVC Program

The Du-Drop Creche provides daily care services and nutritional support to orphans and vulnerable children.

 

Dududu Youth Club

An after-school program for young people, teaching positive health practices, empowering youth through the provision of leadership and life skills, and providing young people with a safe space to develop their talents in sports and the arts.

 

Women's Craft Cooperative

Empowering local women to develop their skills and talents in beading, crafting, sewing, and knitting, in order to increase their status through economic self-sufficiency.
