The Dududu Drop-In Centre
We are a non-profit organization serving the Dududu community in Vulamehlo, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Founded in 2005, the objective of the Centre was to mitigate the impact of the HIV-AIDS epidemic in the area through the provision of health-related services to HIV infected and affected community members. We run a feeding scheme for orphans and vulnerable children (OVC), offer home-based healthcare services, and psycho-social support to OVCs and other individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Today, we are expanding our activities to address the interrelated challenges of poverty and disease burden through the creation of income-generating activities, environmental management, and skills development programs.
